Flowers of any kind - particularly Sweet Peas, her favourites. She didn't drink much, but when she did, Baileys or brandy and the odd Barley Wine were the most favoured. She and dad started caravanning in the 80's and this gave mum so much pleasure, she adored her 'vans and used to get annoyed if dads shifts meant they couldn't go away. She loved her trip to Africa, she took hundreds of photos and made us look through them all! She loved Country & Western music - then there was Moira Anderson, Kiri Te Kanawa, not to mention Queen, Tina Turner. Such eclectic taste! She loved musicals and westerns - Clint Eastwood and John Wayne were her favourites. She enjoyed her little trips to Mrs Glover ;) She loved having family get-togethers. Her all-time favourite was the Boxing Day party, when we all surprised her and dad at their flat on Duchy Road! We all turned up in the drive in a convoy, bearing buffet food, booze and party games...ha ha, she ran around like a headless chicken thinking, what can I give everyone, all the shops are shut!?! (There were 15 or 16 of us!)...we just instructed her to put her party frock on and enjoy the day. She did. It was my best day ever.
